Carly Clark is a pet store manager at Petsense in South Carolina. She’s a mom herself, and you wouldn’t believe what she had to say about breastfeeding moms!
Controversial Facebook Post
One day, Carly turned to Facebook to share her opinions on breastfeeding. However, what was problematic was how she said her piece.
Her post was hate-filled and full of violence, and it got the community concerned, causing it to go viral.
Mom Shaming
Despite being a mom, she spoke against public breastfeeding.
In her post, Carly said, “I’m not sorry. The next female that tries to whip her b**** out to breastfeed in front of my kids will get a black eye; move that baby because I’ll punch it too. #ZeroCare #Why #InPublicLetsJustShowKidsB**** #NotMine.”
Deleted Post
The post has since been deleted. However, as expected, users scrambled to get a screenshot of it, and now it’s forever immortalized online.
Her Explanation
Even if the post itself is long gone, some people also shared Carly’s follow-up explanation that she shared via the comments section.
She said, “I find it very immature that you as a mother would go out of your way to come to a place that you know I work at and breastfeed.”
Carly’s Real Issue
In the same comment, she explained that her issues did not lie with the concept of breastfeeding per se.
She wrote, “If you read my comments, I plainly said it was about one person in general. I don’t care who breastfeeds when my kids aren’t around. Pulling your b*** out in front of my kids just to prove a point is simply represented by who you are as a person.”

Boycott Petsense!
Of course, Carly’s workplace has also been dragged down by the issue. However, they immediately released their statement about the matter.
People from the Petsense Corporate Office shared their thoughts online and said, “Petsense demands the highest standards in ethical and personal behavior in our employees.”
She Got Sacked
With the issue going viral, Petsense has also since fired Carly Clark.
In the same post, Petsense said, “We absolutely would never condone violence such as was recently posted by a former Petsense employee. These are her individual views and do not reflect the views of Petsense or its employees. This individual is no longer employed by Petsense. We sincerely apologize to all those who have been affected by this situation.”

Though there were some mixed reviews about what people thought about breastfeeding in public, most users believe Carly Clark got what she deserved.

She’s a Violent Person!
Some argued that it was wrong for people to ask Petsense to fire Carly Clark, as she should have been able to express her opinions without fear of losing her job. However, the community responded by saying that sharing one’s views shouldn’t include threats of violence.
A man said, “It is wrong to call her employer to fire her; if people can’t see this, they are no better than her. People should be able to express their opinion without fear of losing their livelihood. It is evil to do such things as to destroy someone’s life over something they said.
