A woman shared her very hostile views on breastfeeding on her Facebook profile. However, she was instantly slammed by the internet community for what she said!
Meet Carly Clark

Carly Clark is a pet store manager at Petsense in South Carolina. She’s a mom herself, and you wouldn’t believe what she had to say about breastfeeding moms!
Controversial Facebook Post

One day, Carly turned to Facebook to share her opinions on breastfeeding. However, what was problematic was how she said her piece.
Her post was hate-filled and full of violence, and it got the community concerned, causing it to go viral.
Mom Shaming

Despite being a mom, she spoke against public breastfeeding.
In her post, Carly said, “I’m not sorry. The next female that tries to whip her b**** out to breastfeed in front of my kids will get a black eye; move that baby because I’ll punch it too. #ZeroCare #Why #InPublicLetsJustShowKidsB**** #NotMine.”
Deleted Post

The post has since been deleted. However, as expected, users scrambled to get a screenshot of it, and now it’s forever immortalized online.
Her Explanation

Even if the post itself is long gone, some people also shared Carly’s follow-up explanation that she shared via the comments section.
She said, “I find it very immature that you as a mother would go out of your way to come to a place that you know I work at and breastfeed.”
Carly’s Real Issue

In the same comment, she explained that her issues did not lie with the concept of breastfeeding per se.
She wrote, “If you read my comments, I plainly said it was about one person in general. I don’t care who breastfeeds when my kids aren’t around. Pulling your b*** out in front of my kids just to prove a point is simply represented by who you are as a person.”
Going Viral

Screenshots of the posts have also gone viral, as Facebook users kept sharing their copies.
Some people were messaging Carly privately, while others took to their own social media accounts to share their thoughts.
Boycott Petsense!

Of course, Carly’s workplace has also been dragged down by the issue. However, they immediately released their statement about the matter.
People from the Petsense Corporate Office shared their thoughts online and said, “Petsense demands the highest standards in ethical and personal behavior in our employees.”
She Got Sacked

With the issue going viral, Petsense has also since fired Carly Clark.
In the same post, Petsense said, “We absolutely would never condone violence such as was recently posted by a former Petsense employee. These are her individual views and do not reflect the views of Petsense or its employees. This individual is no longer employed by Petsense. We sincerely apologize to all those who have been affected by this situation.”
The Community’s Reactions

Though there were some mixed reviews about what people thought about breastfeeding in public, most users believe Carly Clark got what she deserved.
Many Facebook users admired Petsense’s quick and effective response to the issue. One user commented, “Dear angry, violent little girl willing to punch a baby because it was hungry, good luck on that job hunt tomorrow.”
Another noted that Carly’s threats are borderline assault and said, “If she is willing to assault a woman and the baby for doing something that is natural, then she is bitter, jealous, and awful. She should go to jail if she ever makes true to her word. I do not understand what makes these people do this. It seems she is a bully, like one of the mean girls from high school. She deleted her post because she was called out on it. I hope she does get fired.”
Petsense Versus Carly Clark

Though there was a handful of people calling to boycott Petsense, they were quickly swayed by their decision to sack Carly.
One Facebook user commented, “This woman thinks it’s okay to threaten nursing mothers and their eating children. Meet #CarlyClark, ladies and gentlemen. She’s a real piece of work. To add, Petsense has since fired this woman and has made a public apology for her actions. Petsense is a great company which I personally love. Please do not boycott Petsense due to the actions of this woman.”
She’s a Violent Person!

Some argued that it was wrong for people to ask Petsense to fire Carly Clark, as she should have been able to express her opinions without fear of losing her job. However, the community responded by saying that sharing one’s views shouldn’t include threats of violence.
A man said, “It is wrong to call her employer to fire her; if people can’t see this, they are no better than her. People should be able to express their opinion without fear of losing their livelihood. It is evil to do such things as to destroy someone’s life over something they said. Her threats were not believable.”
But this person argued, “She is threatening to punch mothers and babies. She is threatening violence. Punching a baby? Are you kidding? Obviously, that could kill it. I don’t care if she loses her job at all. Her problem for being an idiot.”
Why Is This Even an Issue?

Some people pointed out that breastfeeding shouldn’t be an issue.
“So, let me get this straight. It’s not okay to feed an infant in public just as intended throughout the generations, but it’s okay for those in Hollywood to basically wear nothing out in public? I don’t see how one is okay, and the other is not,” commented one woman. Another user said, “People who condemn women who are breastfeeding need to get evaluated. They are scrambled by Puritan indoctrination.”
Concerned Citizens

Since Carly’s also a mom, people share their concerns about her kids, given her violent tendencies.
One woman wrote, “Hope someone contacted CPS to ensure none of her children are being harmed by a violent mother.” A man said, “She was not annoyed; she was showing her violent beliefs and hatred. Taking time to record oneself allowed this female caricature to show the world her true ugly self.”Do you think Carly deserved to get fired? What would you tell her?
