OP (Original Posted) and her husband, Joe, had been together for five years. However, their relationship started to go sour after she found out she had cancer.
She had to deal with cervical cancer, Covid, and other complications. All these took a toll on her relationship with Joe.
Counseling
OP said she tried to get them into counseling, but it didn’t work—after all, she was the only one who went. However, their counselor kept pushing them to try to work things out and to do things together.
Joe Had Other Ideas
However, her husband, Joe, always hung out and did things with a couple he was working with—Karen and Patrick. The two were also married.
But, soon, Joe would only hang out with Karen—Patrick was not in the picture.
Cheaters!
It didn’t take long for OP to realize that Joe and Karen were cheating on her and Patrick. So, she left him and moved out.
In one of OP’s answers to a comment, she mentioned she never outright told her ex that she knew they were cheating on her. She just upped and left.
Going to the Gym
OP worked at a gym, and Joe and Karen would go there to work out regularly. It seemed the couple didn’t care that they were cheating because they were showing “a little PDA.”
When OP saw this, she immediately snapped a picture.
Within Her Rights
OP said she didn’t do this without consent and mentioned, “When people sign up at our gym, they sign a waiver stating that we can snap pics of them on the gym floor for our social media platforms.”
Making It Public
OP posted the picture online and made it an ad for their gym. She shared it for their Valentine’s Day special and made the ad run locally!

Because the ad was public, Patrick saw the picture and immediately went to Joe’s house and “raised hell.” He also dumped all of Karen’s stuff onto Joe’s lawn and told him “he could keep her.”
Problems at Work
Joe’s boss was also angry with everything that was happening. Their office was chaotic, and they were now losing two employees because of what had happened!
Living Arrangements
To make things worse, Joe’s boss was also his landlord. It was, overall, a very messy situation!
Joe also didn’t want to live with anyone. OP said, “On top of that, Joe didn’t want to be in a relationship, much less live with anyone, so he made Karen get her stuff and try to find a place to stay.”
Clueless or Just Naive?
It seemed Joe never realized that OP had put the ad up, as he texted her to ask if she would let Karen stay in her extra bedroom. OP just left him on read!
How Everything Ended
OP mentioned she never knew how the issue was resolved. However, she knew Karen had to move back in with Patrick for a while.
Then, she moved in with Joe. She also said, “Apparently, she brought her 20-year-old daughter with her to his house to live with them.”
