A TikToker named Nausicaä posted a video saying that last summer, while seeking transgender-affirming healthcare, she found out that she was inters**. With that discovery, many strange things in her life suddenly made sense.
These were things that Nausicaä noticed in her physical appearance way before she started transitioning.
Boyish Characteristics—or Not?
For example, when she was 14, she asked her mother to take her to the doctor, worried she was a 14-year-old boy with breast cancer.
The reason is that she had lumps in her chest, which she later found to be developing breasts.
Hormone Problems
During that time, the doctor examined her and told her that there were times when hormones could get “confused” about what they were supposed to focus on.
Nausicaä said, “Like, as though it wanted to give me the other type of puberty first.”
Weird Discoveries
Several years later, when Nausicaä was learning about men’s and women’s hairlines during biology class, the professor told them to look at their own, and so she did. She discovered that her hairline was not of a boy’s but a girl’s.
Typically, men’s hairlines grow straight or forward, while women’s hairlines grow in a backward-facing direction. She said, “I’m like, what the heck? Where’s my ‘guy’ hairline? I’m supposed to have it. I have this, I’m supposed to have that,” in reference to her male reproductive organ.
What Science Says
Another educational occurrence happened during her human developmental course in college when they were learning a fun fact about human fingers. Men usually have longer ring fingers than index ones, and the same goes for lesbian women, especially on their left hands.
On the other hand, straight women’s index and ring fingers are usually the same length.
A Man With a Woman’s Hand
As Nausicaä was writing with her left hand, she heard that fact and noticed that her hand fit the description of straight women.
To her, that didn’t make any sense.
A “Miracle?”
Aside from that, she also had terrible cystic acne until she started transitioning. She used Aldactone as a testosterone blocker, and her cystic acne has disappeared since then.

Weirdly enough, the medicine that Nausicaä took is usually used to treat cisgender women who have cystic acne.

Nausicaä’s experience and individuality just proved that transgender and inters** people really do exist, and there is a community of them out there.

In another video, Nausicaä talked about gender identities being a socially constructed concept.
She said, “We kind of have been understanding how that’s messy and malleable. But even our aspects of biological s** are messy, and they’re way messier than we’d like to let on. It’s messier than just this binary setup.”

She also discussed how unique and complex everyone’s s***** identities are, and that’s what makes them beautiful.
She added, “That’s a great thing about supporting transgender rights. It gives people access to care, and it allows people to live more fulfilling, healthier lives. And it allows us to really break down this silly idea of the binary.”
