A Shocking Reason
She turned to TikTok to share her story and said she was surprised to find out that her son had gotten in trouble at school during lunchtime. This was shocking in itself, but the school’s reason went beyond just her son’s lunch.
It’s Just Ridiculous
In her video, OP told her story while packing her son yet another lunch box stuffed with more extra food before he went to school.
She said, “Would you believe I got reprimanded for sending my son to school with too much food? Now, to me, that sounds ridiculous because if he’s hungry, he should be able to eat.”
It’s All Unexpected
In hindsight, no matter the reason, a student—or a parent—shouldn’t get into trouble just because they brought tons of food to school. After all, kids need all the fuel they can get.

A Heartbreaking Reason

While some people might think that schools have a strict no-sharing rule because of kids’ possible allergies and, perhaps, COVID-19, for OP, this wasn’t a good reason to stop packing her son more food to share.

Allergies, flu, and other viruses aren’t a deterrent for OP. She said, “If that’s the case, then it should be their responsibility to make sure that child eats.”
OP also explained that she had checked with her son’s teacher about the kids’ allergies beforehand to make sure she wouldn’t bring something that would trigger allergy attacks.
