OP (Original Poster) is a 34-year-old who worked in the semiconductor industry. Then, recently, a 22-year-old female employee was moved to his area, and he was assigned to train her.

Unfortunately, the woman was not a good colleague. OP noted that it was a “well-known fact” in the office that the woman was “flirty” and “inappropriate” and has also gotten several men fired and reported.

However, the problem was that the woman’s reputation wasn’t only a rumor.
OP shared, “As soon as she was moved to my area, I could see that she was shy with me and a little flirty.”
Working Her Charm—or Not?
OP’s colleague became more and more flirtatious, handsy, and the “touchy, feely type.” She would tell OP how “cute” she thought he was.
He would “play back” with her, but OP noted that it was “never” in an appropriate manner. OP explained, “She added me on social media, and we exchanged info as she had expressed interest in hanging out.”
Change of Mood
One weekend, OP went to the park, and he’s guessing his colleague saw it on his social media. When he returned to work the following week, she suddenly acted “very odd and angry.”

After a couple of days of being stuck in bed, he had enough energy to check his phone and saw that he had a lot of notifications. A handful of them were from his female colleague, who was “so angry” after OP left her on read; she even tried to get a hold of OP multiple times but to no avail.

When OP returned to work, gone was his usual flirtatious colleague. She was angry and harsh toward OP, but he just ignored everything.

The issue was eventually escalated to HR, and he got a call explaining that there was an open investigation on OP for what the girl had said about him. OP denied all accusations against him and told them he had no problem sending them screenshots to prove everything was a lie.

So, OP did precisely that. He sent them all the messages of the woman calling him “honey,” telling him he was cute, asking him to hang out with her, and more.
He added, “The last message I sent to HR was a message from the girl apologizing for slapping me in the face at work twice.”

OP noted that the woman apologized to him through text in an “immature, flirting type” of way. He was pretty mad, so he never said anything.
However, he made sure he kept the texts as evidence.

OP figured that after the woman made up lies to get him fired because he left her on read, HR would love to see a message from a girl “admitting to assaulting someone at work unprovoked.”
He wrote, “Needless to say, a couple weeks after the investigation began, she was fired, and all was right in my world again.”
