A TikTok user named Equana has gone viral after recording herself devouring 48 oysters during a date at Fontaine’s Oyster House in Atlanta, all while the guy only ordered a drink.
She posted her whole date experience at the seafood restaurant that offers a dozen oysters for $15 as part of their Tuesday special.
Merely an Acquaintance
Equana’s video started with her showing the outside of the place, explaining that she met a guy a few weeks before this happened when she was out with her friends. The man has been texting her for weeks, “talking to himself,” as she said.
To Pass the Time
She’s not interested in the guy, but she doesn’t know why she didn’t just block him. When he asked to take her out for drinks, she agreed because she was bored and had spare time.
Looks Delicious!
When they sat at a table, she proceeded to order her first plate of oysters. In the video, it was clear that she was recording with a flash, and she could be heard slurping and moaning as she ate.
Nothing’s Stopping Her
Once Equana was done with her plate, she ordered another one, and another one, and another one!
She said, “Y’all, when the fourth plate came out, he was looking at me crazy. I didn’t give a f***. I’m like, ‘Baby, you invited me out. I’m going to eat.’”

After finishing her oysters, the video showed the plates piling up on the table. But Equana still wanted more.
So, she ordered red potatoes and crab cakes. She liked the food so much that she rated them 10 out of 10.

Later on, her date, who hadn’t even finished his drink, appeared to be missing on camera. At some point, she explained that he excused himself to go to the restroom and never returned.
Equana said, “It’s been 10, 20, 30 minutes. Where the f*** is he at?” He bailed on her, leaving her to foot the bill!

Furious at her date leaving her, Equana confronted the guy through text message and shared a screenshot of their exchange.
She texted him, “Running out on a tab is crazy,” and he replied, “I offered to take you out for drinks, and you ordered all that food. I can Cash App the total for the drinks.”
She Ain’t Stingy
Equana posted a follow-up video explaining how she tipped the servers at the restaurant.
According to her post, she left a $15 tip on her card and another $11 in cash, which ultimately amounted to 14% of the bill.

Kelcey Flanagan, the restaurant’s manager, told Rolling Stone, an American magazine, that there were a lot of customers like Equana who frequented their place.
She shared, “I’ve had two ladies order six dozen oysters each. That’s not even the cherry on top—they were drinking white Russians. I didn’t know how to personally feel about that. I was just like, this is insane to me, but okay.”

The manager also explained that four dozen oysters weren’t that much. One time, a man even ordered 15 dozen oysters—all for himself!

Though Equana has been judged by many online, Flanagan hoped she wasn’t getting too much flak.
She said, “Some people tip great, some people, it’s regular, but she was nice. I just hope she’s not getting too much flak.”

Flanagan also clarified some confusion regarding Equana’s video, saying it wasn’t staged or scripted. She also noted that Equana’s date returned after she paid the bill.
She said, “I don’t know what was said, but he popped back in, and then they left.”
