A Nice Day Out
One day, OP (Original Poster) took his son to a farm park. In this kind of place, after you’ve gone through all the animals, there’s a play area with a climbing frame, slide, swings, and more.
They came on a pretty busy day, and about 30 kids or so were playing on the frame and slide.
She Came Waltzing In
Everyone was having a great time until an entitled parent with a baby under six months old arrived.
OP noted that her arms were full of fancy scarves, artificial flowers, and a “proper” camera.
The Wrong Place to Be
The entitled mom kept trying to put her baby at the bottom of the slide to take a picture. However, she was getting increasingly annoyed because kids kept coming down.
A Selfish Request
She approached OP and the other parents standing off to the side doing small talk. The entitled woman didn’t even ask; she straight-up laid her demands.
She stated, “I need all your kids to stop playing for a bit so I can get these photos on the slide.”
An Obvious No
Because they were in a playground and not a photo studio, the entitled mom got an almost automatic no from the parents.
Verbal Attacks on Kids
Furious, the entitled mom stormed away from the parents and started shouting at the kids who were coming down from the top of the slide. At one point, the woman even called OP’s son “rude” and “inconsiderate” after he asked her if he could “please” come down the slide.
Ineffective Barricade
The entitled mom was getting more agitated by the second. She took one of her scarves and started tying it across the slide to stop the kids from coming down.
Oh, It’s “Her” Photoshoot!
Obviously, this didn’t work either. OP noted that she was getting “angrier and angrier” and eventually started shouting at the parents too.
She exclaimed, “Get your f****** kids out the way. This is my photoshoot!”
Time to Step In
The situation was getting out of hand, so one of the parents took off to find the park manager. OP and one of the dads tried to calmly talk to her to explain that their kids were playing, so it wasn’t fair to try to stop them just because she said so.
They also told her there were “plenty of other beautiful spots” in the farm park where she could go for photos.
Get Out of Here!
By the time the park manager came around, the issue with the entitled woman still hadn’t been resolved. So, she was kicked out!
OP wrote, “The manager shows up, tells this woman that she’s creating a health and safety hazard, and asks her to leave the farm completely.”
That’s Discrimination
Though she had to leave the park without completing her photoshoot, the entitled woman wouldn’t go without a fight.
OP shared, “We could hear her shouting and swearing all the way to the car park. She’s suing for discrimination, apparently.”
