OP (Original Poster) traveled a lot for work, so he had a lot of hotel and airline points. The summer this story was posted, OP planned to take his family to Disney World and stay at one of the resorts on the property.
Doing Something Out of the Goodness of His Heart
He noted that his sister-in-law and her family had a hard time during the pandemic, so he decided to do something nice and invite them for the trip.
He would be treating them to a Disney adventure! OP shared, “I said I would pay for their flights, hotel, and park tickets.”

OP’s sister-in-law accused him of being “cheap” because he was using his points for their hotel instead of outright paying for them to stay at the same resort as the rest of OP’s family.
