The Restaurant’s Regular
OP (Original Poster) had a guy who frequently came to the restaurant she works at. He’s typically quiet and never tips generously.
OP wrote, “Most of the time, he comes with a couple of friends or by himself and sits at the bar and watches a sports game.”
A New Couple?
OP never had any problem with him until he came to the restaurant with a woman. She had never seen her before, so she assumed they were new to dating.
The couple was seated at a quieter part of the restaurant, specifically at the table assigned to her.
As Smooth as Could Be
At first, OP had no problem with them, and everything went smoothly. However, things took a turn when they asked for their bill.
OP wrote, “They asked for the check, and I went right around the corner from their table. It was close by, so I was quick.”
A Generous Tip
As she was nearing their table, she heard the man say to the woman, “Watch this,” as he put a $100 bill on the table. When he realized OP saw what he did, he jokingly said, “Oh! You weren’t supposed to see that!”
Unexpected but Appreciated
