OP (Original Poster) is a 29-year-old woman who gave birth four months before this story was posted. Because daycare was costly, her 35-year-old husband “reluctantly agreed to stay home.”
His Day-To-Day Activities
It was important to note that OP’s husband had been unemployed since 2021; he only received benefits.
Apart from this, her husband is “extremely lazy.” OP wrote, “He doesn’t cook, clean, or help out in any way.”
Mom Guilt
Because of her husband’s personality, OP was afraid to leave her daughter alone with her dad, but she had no choice.
However, initially, it seemed her husband was doing all he could for their daughter.
Father and Daughter Time
For the first few days, whenever OP came home, she would find her daughter clean and sleeping. At other times, she would get there, and her husband would be playing with her, feeding her, or going out for a walk with her.

However, this joyful feeling didn’t last long for OP. A few days before this story was posted, her neighbor told her that as soon as OP would leave, the baby “cries and cries for hours.”
She even told OP she knocked on their door, and her husband “finally answered it.” Her neighbor told her that her husband had been sleeping.

Given the story she had just heard from her neighbor, OP concluded that her husband, indeed, was sleeping all day. She guessed that right before she returned from work, he would wake up and “pretend to care for her.”
